Why use CLIA Waived tests?
Many of the doctors, hospitals, and professional clinics who use our tests are required to use urine test cups which are CLIA Waived. This means the tests have been cleared for professional use as well as over-the-counter home office use.
Why is the built-in temperature strip useful?
The temperature strip can help ensure a urine sample is freshly collected from the intended donor. Within 2 to 4 minutes of collection, human urine should register between 90 and 100 degrees (F). Look for the GREEN indicator to appear. Urine which does not register here may have been tampered with or substituted.
Why consider all available quantity options?
Each higher available quantity provides a more attractive value per test. Choose the quantity which best suites your testing volume and budget requirement needs.
Question: What is an adulterated urine sample? Answer: Urine which has been altered in attempt to falsely pass a urine test.
The adulteration test strips built into this urine test cup are meant to aid in the determination of abnormal urine specimens by measuring the following:
Specific Gravity (S.G.): Abnormal levels generally indicate urine water dilution or adulteration.
pH (PH): Tests for presence of acidic or alkaline adulterants in urine.
Creatinine (CRE): Low levels may indicate consumed excess water or teas to ‘flush’ the system.
Question: What is a cut-off level for a urine test?
Answer: The level a substance must meet or exceed in urine to trigger a positive result.
With any instant urine test it is important to note a negative result does not always mean the urine sample is free of that med or narcotic. It may contain the substance at a concentration that is lower than the defined cut-off level. Different substances are processed by the body at different rates. The window of detection for a med or narcotic begins to decrease over time once it has reached its highest level of concentration in the body. Other factors which can affect detection time include: physical body type, metabolic rate, dietary habits, dosage size, dosage method.
